Former Bryan Cave Partners Establish Zerger & Mauer LLP In Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (April 2011) – Steven Mauer and Heather Zerger, former partners with the Kansas City office of Bryan Cave LLP, have established Zerger & Mauer LLP. Their office is located on the 21st floor of City Center Square in Kansas City.

Zerger & Mauer represents plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes. Clients include financial institutions, businesses, municipalities and individuals. Practice areas include commercial litigation, employment counseling and defense, trust litigation, and contract and tort actions.

Mauer received his J.D. from Drake University in 1987. He became a partner at Bryan Cave in 1996. He represents a variety of businesses and municipalities as plaintiffs and defendants. He also counsels numerous Missouri municipalities, serving as a city attorney for two communities and a trial counsel for several others.

Zerger earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota in 1999. She was elected partner at Bryan Cave in 2008. Her experience includes defending class actions and commercial trials representing plaintiffs. She is also experienced in employment litigation and counseling.
