The Team

Steve Mauer

Steven Mauer is a civil trial lawyer focusing on commercial litigation. Prior to co-founding Zerger & Mauer LLP, Steve was a long-time partner with an international Kansas City law firm where he represented a variety of businesses and municipalities as plaintiffs and defendants. For years, Steve has served as the litigation coordinator for several clients and represented them in a wide variety of disputes.

Heather Zerger

Heather’s commercial litigation experience includes representation of financial institutions, municipalities, and other commercial clients in all aspects of the litigation process. Her experience also includes defense of clients in class action lawsuits under various statutes and legal theories, including the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act, among others.

Elizabeth Crotty

Elizabeth Crotty has worked as a paralegal since 1982, and has experience in product liability, negligence, personal injury, insurance, commercial and construction litigation. She is a member of the Kansas City Paralegal Association and was previously their representative to the National Association of Legal Assistants and the local Policy Director.
